Personal Notes: I was born in Brownwood, Texas. I grew up in the desert oil fields of beautiful Odessa, Texas. I finally escaped west Texas and relocated to Temple, Texas. I began singing with bands for fun at around age 14, first with some neighborhood friends. Around age 17, I became more serious about my music, but it never went far. I joined the Army at 18 and began singing with a band called Jokers Wild while in the service. Later, after the Army, I began a mobile DJ /Karaoke business to stay close to music. I finally shut down that business when I met the guys who would become Wicked Brew. I love writing songs, I only hope to write songs that people will love to hear.
Musical Influences: Dad started me out on country and oldies. I managed to find rock, classic rock, and blues on my own. My biggest influences to start singing were George Strait, Willie Nelson (Hell, all the Highwaymen), Elvis, and The Doors. In high school it was Pearl Jam, Nirvana and Bush. While in the Army, I fell in love with the music of Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jimi Hendrix, and Lynard Skynard. Now days, I'm back to my Texas roots and I am greatly inspired by Roger Creager, Cross Canadian Ragweed, Pat Green, Robert Earl Keen, Kevin Fowler, Jason Boland, and the rest of the Great Texas Music Family.
